Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

Linigu Translator is a Linigu product provided by MeTime Travel Turizm Danışmanlık Limited Şirketi, a limited company registered in Turkey ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using translator.linigu.com (and its sister site sdltranslator.linigu.com, which shares the same account), you agree to these terms.

2. The service

We provide AI-assisted translation for SDL Trados packages and everyday documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, text, CSV). Translations are produced using third-party AI models (currently Google Gemini) and are provided "as is" — you're responsible for reviewing translated output before relying on it for anything legally, medically, or commercially sensitive.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure.
• You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts used for abuse, fraud, or to violate these terms.

4. Free trial and billing

• New accounts get a free trial of 10 text units or 100 words, whichever limit is reached first.
• Beyond the free trial, translation is billed against a prepaid balance, charged per word at rates shown before you confirm a translation.
• Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders, and purchases are also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
• Balance is purchased in fixed increments and does not expire. Unused balance can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, as described in our Refund Policy.
• Prices may change; changes apply to balance purchased after the change takes effect.

5. Your content

• You retain all rights to documents, translation memories, and termbases you upload.
• You confirm you have the right to upload and translate the content you submit, and that doing so doesn't infringe anyone else's rights or violate any law.
• We process your content only to provide the translation service — see our Privacy Policy for details, including automatic deletion after 48 hours.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you don't have the right to translate;
• Attempt to circumvent billing, rate limits, or access controls;
• Interfere with the security or normal operation of the service;
• Resell or redistribute the service itself without our written permission.

7. Translation quality

AI translation, even with translation memory and termbase enforcement, can make mistakes — especially with idioms, legal or medical nuance, and highly specialized terminology. We offer an optional AI proofreading pass, but final responsibility for reviewing translated content before use rests with you.

8. Availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may perform maintenance, and third-party dependencies (payment processing, AI providers) can affect availability outside our control.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including translation errors, data loss beyond the stated retention period, or service interruptions. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms. Unused balance at termination is handled per our refund practices, subject to applicable law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
